Capsules, teas and extracts for mild insomnia; anti-inflammatory used; used in creams for eczema, dermatitis and skin irritation; mouth rinses for gingival inflammation

Mechanism of Action

Main compounds are flavonoids (especially apigenin, luteolin and quercetin), α-bisabolol, chamazulene, and essential oils. These compounds reduce inflammation by inhibiting COX and LOX enzymes, promote relaxation by acting on GABA receptors, relax gastrointestinal smooth muscle, and provide antioxidant and antimicrobial effects.
