Beaches are an essential part of human lives. More than just providing locals and tourists with a lovely sand coastline is the goal of beach cleanup. While maintaining a clean and hygienic beach is crucial, the ocean environment also benefits from the removal of trash from the shoreline. The ecosystem of the beach is heavily dependent on marine life, but most of it is too small or buried in the sand to be seen with the unaided eye. These creatures are crucial to the ocean's ecosystem because they feed the water with nutrients and improve its health. Plastic pollution has a negative impact on tens of thousands of marine animals globally, including sea turtles, seabirds, and marine mammals.
